Abstract:
The principles of complex genome organization within cell nucleus are not well understood. This talk will introduce some of our recently developed algorithms to reveal several different aspects of nuclear genome organization, including sequence determinants for long-range chromatin interactions, chromosomal spatial positioning in terms of nuclear compartmentalization, and evolutionary patterns of DNA replication timing across different species.
Bio:
The research in Ma group has been focused on algorithm development to help better understand the organization, function, and evolution of the human genome. Dr. Ma is currently serving as an Associate Editor of PLOS Computational Biology and a regular member of the NIH GCAT study section.
